You will need a valid automobile drivers license or learners permit. You must be at least 15 years old as the endorsement waiver is only valid for one year from the class completion (I.e. you may take the class at 15 years of age with an automobile learners permit, but you will not receive your motorcycle endorsement until you have obtained your drivers license at or after 16 years of age). You do NOT need your motorcycle permit to take the course. Classes consist of in-person training in a class setting and on-range motorcycle training with one hour breaks on the Saturday and Sunday for lunch with a number of quicker breaks throughout the long day. The motorcycles are provided but you will be need to provide all of the proper riding gear which includes a long sleeve shirt or jacket, jeans or chaps, sturdy over-the-ankle footwear, full-fingered gloves, a 3/4 or full face helmet that meets DOT approval, and eyewear.
